Jennifer Dangar Named 2023 Girl Talk Inspiration Award

October 4, 2023

ATLANTA, GA — The Girl Talk Inspiration Award was created to honor an individual who has made one-of-a-kind contributions to Girl Talk, strengthening the organization’s legacy along the way. Our 2023 Inspiration Award recipient is Jennifer Dangar, COO of Balentine, former Chair of Girl Talk, and advocate for women and girls everywhere.

During her exemplary career spanning media, communications, and operations, Jennifer’s commitment to women and education has never wavered. She has held senior positions at Turner Broadcasting, Discovery Communications, The Weather Company, and most recently Jackson Healthcare – who celebrated Jennifer’s dedication to women and girls with us at our 2023 LeadHER Luncheon. Today, Jennifer is the COO of Balentine, and we were honored to have Jennifer’s colleagues from Balentine also join us for the Luncheon to celebrate Jennifer’s success.

Throughout her career, Jennifer has been recognized for her contributions to women empowerment:
* In 2019, the Atlanta Business Chronicle recognized her as a Women Who Mean Business honoree.
* The same year, she was also recognized as part of The Global Power 150 for Women in Staffing by Staffing Industry Analysts,
* Her numerous other accolades include Women in Cable Television’s Woman of the Year, the Womenetics POW! Award, the Business to Business Women of Excellence Award, and the Multichannel Wonder Woman of the Year.

When asked to reflect on Jennifer’s contributions to Girl Talk, her peers said: “Jennifer lives the values of Girl Talk in our community. Given that it is our mission to take leadership, inclusion, authenticity and service out into the world, Jennifer is a true Girl Talk champion.”

Jennifer’s daughter, Grace, was also in attendance to celebrate her mom. She shared the following with us: “For as long as I can remember my mom has been my role model. Every day she gets up with a smile to greet me and tells me I am loved and special. She has done some incredible things in her lifetime, but her biggest accomplishment is being the best mom and friend I could ever want.”

Congratulations, Jennifer. Thank you for inspiring the next generation of leaders.
