Girl Talk Celebrates Hannah Joseph as 2023 National Leader of the Year

October 4, 2023

Each year, Girl Talk honors a leader who exemplifies the Girl Talk mission and embodies our core values of leadership, authenticity, inclusion, and service. The National Leader of the Year Award and Scholarship has recognized exceptional leadership within the Girl Talk Community for nearly two decades.

This year, we are thrilled to honor Hannah Joseph, who just started her freshman year at Kennesaw State University, studying Computer Science with a concentration in Cyber Security. We can’t wait to see the impact she makes there!

Hannah was a Leader for Girl Talk’s Simpson Middle School Club and has served as a Girl Talk Ambassador and a Camp Co-Lead Counselor. While she was in high school, Hannah was extremely active as a servant leader! She was President of Lassiter High School’s Chorus program, Vice President of the Mental Health Club, and earned the Governor’s Recognition for completing more than 500 service hours. Hannah truly embodies the spirit of Girl Talk through her passion to give back to her community.

A Girl Talk team member said “my favorite thing about Hannah is that she sees everyone – she goes out of her way to make everyone feel seen, welcome, and valued. This is what Girl Talk is all about!”

We couldn’t be prouder of Hannah and can’t wait to watch her soar as a Kennesaw State Owl!

“Girl Talk was the community I never thought I needed until I became apart of it. It has taught me to be unapologetically confident in myself while building leadership skills I use everyday. This is a community where everyone has your back no matter the time or day and I’m so grateful and proud to be called a Girl Talk girl.”

Congratulations, Hannah. Keep inspiring the next generation of leaders!
