Dealing with Bullies

When you’re in school and someone is bullying you, it is very hard to deal with. I dealt with it quite a few times when I was younger. Here are some tips on how to deal with it!

I would say having a really good friend on your side is one of the best things to do!! I would also tell your parents that you are being bullied and see if they can do anything to help. You can also kindly ask the person to stop.

I dealt with my bullying experience similarly to this. When I was in 4th grade I had three people not being nice to me. One of them would say mean things to me in art class. He thought it was funny because his mom would say it to him, but I did not think it was very nice and it hurt my feelings a lot. I tried for a few weeks to see if it would get better, but it didn’t.

To get all of this to stop, I told my mom and she emailed one of my teachers, explaining the situation. A few days later, the teacher organized a meeting with the boy, I told him what was bothering me and kindly asked him to stop. After our speaking with him, he never did it again.

I think this was a very effective way to deal with the situation because I got to have a one on one discussion with him to really tell him what was bothering me. This way he could really understand why I was offended by something that he may not be.
