25 Ways to Celebrate Random Acts of Kindness Day

With our endless school work, and all of the other things going on in our lives, we tend to forget about the little things. A smile. A compliment. A hug. It’s tiny things like these that can make a person’s day. That’s why we should make more of an effort to be kind to others in our everyday lives. And seeing as how Random Acts of Kindness Day is coming up on February 17th, now is the perfect time to start. Here’s a list of 25 kind things you can do to start a chain reaction of kindness.
- Compliment a friend/stranger/family member
- Hold a door open for someone
- Donate money to charity
- Let someone go in front of you in line
- Let your teachers know how much you appreciate them by surprising them with a letter or gift
- Make dinner for your family
- Volunteer at your local animal shelter/ any other organization that needs help
- Pick up trash
- Recycle
- Bake cookies for your friends
- Talk to someone who’s sitting by themselves
- Smile
- Send a positive text message to at least 5 people
- Offer to babysit for free
- Comment something nice on someone’s Instagram post
- Surprise a friend/family member with a little gift
- Catch up with an old friend
- Write letters to the military
- Donate any extra money you have to Girl Talk
- Donate your old clothes/toys to charity
- Give someone a hug
- Tell someone a joke and make them laugh
- Make pet toys to give to an animal shelter
- Hold a fundraiser like a bake sale or a car wash & give the profits to charity
- Be kind to yourself
