What would you tell your younger self? Other people’s opinions of you do not matter. Do what makes you happy! Don’t worry about “fitting in” because you were born to stand out! Do everything with a pure heart and good intentions. Create a vision board and follow through with those things- set a realistic timeline and accomplish those dreams!
What was your inspiration and what helped you become successful? How do you define success? Your success and happiness both lie within you! Nothing and no one can make you happy until you find true happiness with yourself! Success looks different to everyone. To me success is the result of hard work, patience, sacrifice and improvement made on a daily basis. My goal is always to be better than I was yesterday!
How do you balance your work and personal life? Often times one has more importance, and we’re curious to know how you’ve handled the balance. Work life balance is something I learned early on in my career. With different organizations, you hear about how they emphasize the importance of the balance. However, for the most part, when it came down to it, it was WORK WORK WORK. With the company I work for now, the balance is much more achievable. I am a single mom with four kids (5,7,9,13) so my personal life is huge! Thankfully, my mom lives close and my ex husband and I have a great relationship now, I have an amazing support group so that when I need to pull extra time or focus more for certain initiatives to be achieved, I have the help I need. I couldn’t do that without an amazing supportive boss that understands sometimes life happens and without my tribe to help me when I can’t be there. Work life balance is achievable!
What is your favorite quote? “Nothing last forever, so live it up, drink it down, laugh it off, avoid the bull, take chances and never have regrets, because at one point, everything you did was exactly what you wanted” Marilyn Monroe
What’s your favorite part of your job and why? I love my clients, coworkers and bosses! I’m a people person by nature so my daily interactions are my favorite part of my job! I also love that I get to truly help people make a difference in the way they run their business and to give them back two things we never have enough of: time and money!
What’s your advice on mentoring? If there is any chance you have to be mentored, take it! If you have any chance to mentor someone take it! Life is all about experiences and it’s so nice to learn different ways of doing things. Even though we can accomplish the same goal, each person has a different take on it. Always be open to learning from others!
What’s your favorite ice cream? All! But specifically rolled strawberry cheesecake
