What would you tell your younger self? Before 13: enjoy everything: spend time with your mom even more then you already did: after 13, the pain will always be there but the good memories help

What was your major in college and how did you get to the position you are in today? My major was nursing: it did not help me, but my love of wanting to help others told me to look around

What was your inspiration and what helped you become successful? How do you define success? My Mom. Everyday. Even when she was tired she always did the most for me. So that helps me thrive everyday. Success is bettering yourself and pushing yourself to reach your full potential in life.

How do you balance your work and personal life? Often times one has more importance, and we’re curious to know how you’ve handled the balance.  It can be hard: most of the time I try to leave work at work and home at home just so it gives me time to focus on both rather then mixing.

What is your favorite quote? No women no cry

What’s your favorite part of your job and why? Being able to be independent, as long as you have the right mental mind, it is a blessing to not have someone breathing down your back: they trust and believe that you are doing what is correct.

What is your favorite hobby? Being outdoors

What advice do you want to give the next generation of women leaders? Know that you are strong: you are a gift to anyone around you: NEVER settle for anything less. You are a Queen

What does leadership mean to you? Leadership means understanding what you preach: leading to something that is for the greater good

What’s your advice on mentoring? Be patience: not everyone learns the way you do. Be mindful of others

What’s your favorite ice cream? Strawberry cheesecake
