What was your major in college and how did you get to the position you are in today?
I majored in Computer Information Systems. Early on I learned to leverage my personal strengths to bring additional value to the roles I have been in and always seek a broader understanding. It is important to understand the big picture so you can clearly see how to make a meaningful impact. I always figured out a way to help my manager solve their toughest problems which lead to additional opportunities. I also found an advocate who could help me plan out the steps to get to my next move.
How do you balance your work and personal life? Often times one has more importance, and we’re curious to know how you’ve handled the balance.
My family and personal life are extremely important to me. As I’ve made career changes I evaluate a company’s culture to ensure it aligns with my values. I evaluate my schedule.

What’s your favorite part of your job and why?
Building mutually beneficial relationships – I love people, I love trying to understand, I love figuring out win-win scenarios and solving.
What is your favorite hobby?
Sewing and Cooking
What advice do you want to give the next generation of women leaders?
Always give back – time and resources. Educate others on things you have learned.
What does leadership mean to you?
Creating a strong team, inspiring the team to trust in their collective power, and making the tough choices when necessary and shouldering the weight of those choices when needed.

Vanilla with fresh strawberries, whip cream and sprinkles!
