What would you tell your younger self? Take your future serious. Be aware decisions you make as a young person will have a direct effect on your life later on. Don’t be afraid to take chances. Never think you cannot continue to learn from older people throughout your life.
What was your major in college? My degree is in Education. Started working for Manheim part time in college and have made a career with the company.
What was your inspiration and what helped you become successful? How do you define success? Take pride in everything you do. Was told at a young age of something is worth doing, it’s worth doing right.
How do you balance your work and personal life? Often times one has more importance, and we’re curious to know how you’ve handled the balance. When I’m at work, I am focused on work. When work is over, I lay it down and pick it up the next day.
What’s your favorite part of your job and why? Dealing with people and trying to help with a solution that will benefit them and their business.
What is your favorite hobby? Sports/hunting
What advice do you want to give the next generation of women leaders? Believe in yourself and if you have a dream pursue it.
What does leadership mean to you? Leadership is very important. One of the most important things is discovering that someone will not ask another person to do something they are not willing to do themselves.
What’s your advice on mentoring? Be very open to learning from your peers that have more experience in their job and age. A huge lesson in life I had to learn early on was if someone has been there and done that, I can learn from them.
What’s your favorite ice cream? Chocolate
