What would you tell your younger self? :

To never give up.  Stay focused and stay in school because its super important.  Follow my dreams because life is short. Not let others thoughts about who I was matter to me because in later years, none of what they said made a difference.

What was your major in college and how did you get to the position you are in today? :

I studied Technology in my later 30’s.

What was your inspiration and what helped you become successful? How do you define success? :

I never gave up. My grandma was my inspiration. She passed when I was younger but she always worked very hard.  I want to have a successful life where I don’t have to work so many hours to have a decent life. So I work hard now.

How do you balance your work and personal life? Often times one has more importance, and we’re curious to know how you’ve handled the balance. :

When I’m at work, I work. And when I’m home I leave work at work. There is no other way. You can’t have both worlds collide.

What is your favorite quote? :

Change the world by being yourself.

What’s your favorite part of your job and why? :

Helping people. There is no greater joy than knowing you have made a difference in the world, even if it’s a small one.

What is your favorite hobby? :

Painting or drawing. Anything artistic.

What advice do you want to give the next generation of women leaders? :

Be strong, yet remain soft.  Be who you are but don’t forget where you come from.  Always be honest,  and stay positive.

What does leadership mean to you? :

Some who leads, and pushes others to succeed.

What’s your advice on mentoring? :

Don’t give all the answers, make them work for it or they won’t learn anything.

What’s your favorite ice cream? :

Strawberry cheesecake

Is there any other information that you think Girl Talk members would benefit from? :
