What would you tell your younger self? Always have confidence no matter what. If you fall 3 times, make sure you get up 4.
What was your major in college? I went to school to be a master cosmetologist. God had different plans for me and kept me at Cox Automotive. I got as much knowledge as I possibly could working inside sales at Manheim Atlanta and when I felt it was time to move on, I applied for a field position and got it. It took 16 to gain that knowledge and I’ve now been in fields Sales for 4 years.
What was your inspiration and what helped you become successful? How do you define success? Work hard. Own your mistakes. Humility builds character and makes you humble. These things are important to TRULY be successful in life, in general.
How do you balance your work and personal life? Often times one has more importance, and we’re curious to know how you’ve handled the balance. Work life balance isn’t easy. There’s is no one size fits all. It’s just something you have to find within your own life style. But ALWAYS ALWAYS take time away for yourself… never ever forget that.
What is your favorite quote? “Everything happens for a reason.”
What’s your favorite part of your job and why? Helping my dealers find solutions to problems they didn’t now could be fixed or done better/easier.
What is your favorite hobby? Crossfit
What advice do you want to give the next generation of women leaders? Stay humble.
What does leadership mean to you? Doing the right thing always and treating the janitor the same what you would treat the CEO.
What’s your advice on mentoring? Listen. Takes notes. Don’t be afraid to keep a notebook you can refer back to.
