How To: Make a Vision Board
by Jenna Mains, Girl Talk Ambassador
Part of the new year means new goals, and the perfect way to show that is through a vision board! I am going to give you a step-by-step guide on how to make your own vision board.
First, I’m going to recommend some products you may need to complete this project!
- Glue stick
- Fun washi tape
- A poster board or a piece of cardboard
- Construction paper
- Scrapbook paper
- Scissors
- Color printer
- Magazines
You also are going to need pictures of…
- You and your friends
- Things that inspire you
- Places you want to visit
- Quotes that motivate you
- Or anything that explains your goals for you 2019
Once you have collected some of these things you’re going to need to find a big space to work and lay out all your supplies.
Start by creating a base for the board, cover your piece of cardboard or poster board with some fun paper and make sure to glue it down.
Then cut out pictures of things you like from magazines or take your pictures and decide what will work to best describe your goals.
Then, once everything is cut out, start to arrange them in a way that is visually pleasing to you, this is for you and your goals, not anyone else’s.
Once you like how it looks make sure to glue everything down and let it dry, take some washi tape or stickers and put them anywhere you would like!
There will most likely be a mess and you’re going to have to embrace your inner creativity. It can take as long as you would like or as little as you want, but the objective is to have something that will help you visualize and achieve your goals! If you’re in deep need of inspiration look to Pinterest, but I am going to suggest to let yourself go with the flow and do it how you want! The best part of it is you will have something to save for the future for you to go back and look at your 2019 goals!
