A Word From Our Founder : Haley Kilpatrick
| Dear Girl Talk Community, As we are nearing the end of 2021 and embracing a new way of navigating life, I am grateful to be a part Girl Talk. Our organization remains committed to being a part of the solution. 2020 brought new challenges for Girl Talk and our community, with a global pandemic that devastated girls’ confidence across the globe. Our team found new and innovative ways to ensure the next generation of female leaders is equipped and ready to tackle any barriers to their leadership potential. During the past year, we welcomed the largest and most diverse class of Girl Talk Ambassadors. We listened to various voices that shed light on overlooked topics in leadership through the Girl Talk Podcast and LeadHERship Defined Virtual Summits. We encouraged over 200 people with a texting program designed to lift our Leaders every day of the week. We constructed a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee that has fundraised, advocated, and implemented real change towards a brighter future for young female leaders, with a focus on the importance of representation. And Chapters expanded their reach through virtual meetings, widening the scope of our impact and ensuring there isn’t a barrier to leadership for any girl. Each moment has been a pivotal portion of an even bigger picture that has signified a new season for Girl Talk. Through your LeadHERBeyond gift, you are investing in the next generation of leaders who are bold, confident, resourceful, kind, and service-oriented.
