What would you tell your younger self? Reach for stars and do not let anyone tell you you are not good enough.

What was your major in college? Accounting. I started working as an accountant for a dealer group and became fascinated with the challenging world of automotive and the close relationship with technology so I left the store to work at a DMS company as a consultant and several years later, I am supporting dealerships to become more efficient and sell more cars by using technology.

What was your inspiration and what helped you become successful? How do you define success? I grew up in Mexico and had a wonderful principal during my high school years that provided me with the confidence, support and ability to earn a scholarship to a college in the United States. She always made sure I had everything to succeed even when I did not want her to; she helped me build a foundation of integrity, kindness and hard work. Success is a subjective term- for me, the ability to make a difference every day for my family, my clients, my team members and my community.

How do you balance your work and personal life? Often times one has more importance, and we’re curious to know how you’ve handled the balance. It is hard, some days seem easier than others, but I try. Try to address my needs, the needs of my loved ones and maintain a healthy balance with my career.

What is your favorite quote? “You make me want to be a better person”

What’s your favorite part of your job and why? My dealers! They are important and appreciate the work I do for them.

What is your favorite hobby? Travel! I try to travel (even if it local) to learn new things, see new places and develop new relationships.

What advice do you want to give the next generation of women leaders? You can do this!

What does leadership mean to you? Inspiration and dependability to influence others to be the best they can.

What’s your advice on mentoring? Show- actions speak louder than words.

What’s your favorite ice cream? Coffee ice cream 🙂
